The Journey is the Reward.

Inspiration

This morning I read and browsed my new magazine called “Ode”, and in reading the letter from the editor, I got inspired. The editor, Jurriaan Kamp, spoke of the legacy and works of the late Anita Roddick, founder of The Body Shop, who passed in September of 2007, at the young age of 64.

The quote that inspired me was Mrs. Roddick’s, and it said: “If you think you’re too small to have an impact, try going to bed with a mosquito.” I have long been an advocate of The Body Shop, even before it was sold, mostly because I believed it was a great place to shop with environmentally friendly cosmetics and ethical products. Mostly, I valued the dedication of Mrs. Roddick to her company and her endless energy and her true authentic self, which she put in everything she did.

I am truly inspired as I begin the PhD program at Fielding. Inspired by all the postings of others in the group on our FELIX forum, and inspired by all the ideas and all the wonderful energy that will be part of the journey in our doctoral studies.

As my doctoral and business partner and friend,  (D. Foley) says… “Onward.”
